Dogs Dogs and more Dogs 5-29-2011

I've found that taking pictures of Dogs is a lot like taking pictures of children. They just run around with out a care in the world and glance at you every once and a while, but mostly ignore your existence. Those pictures though can be so candid and awesome.
I had a lot of fun with Jazz and Axle and captured some amazing shots.

Mia and Logan 5-29-2011

Got in touch with an old friend and met her niece and nephew who are so adorable. We had so much fun playing in the tall grass and twirling umbrellas in the sun. One of my all time favorite photos came from this session. Here's a preview of your session.

Kyle 5-29-2011

Found out today that Kyle is very photogenic even though he doesn't think he is. I had so many shots to chose from it was hard to pick the best ones. Congratulations on graduating high school! Keep your mind open to the world and it will be open for you.

Ronan's big 1 5-28-2011

My little on is turning one. I can't believe how fast the last year has gone. He started his life in the NICU with problems with his lungs, but he is a strong little guy and pulled through. Now he's outgrown his brother at this age. Here are Ronan's birthday pictures. I know I'm biased, but I think they are some of my best work. :)

p.s I think I threw one in there of My older son Phoenix.

In loving memory 5-20-2011

One year ago I was preparing for the birth of my second child and still working full time to help support my family. The news came to me at work from my mom who said that my best friends nephew Justice was very sick and might not make it. I had never met the little guy but I felt like I had from the stories I heard from my friend.
I don't know if it was hormones from being pregnant but emotions overflowed and I began to cry. I had to quickly force the tears back as customers came to my counter for help.
A few hours later my mom called again and she told me that Justice had passed away. For the second time that day I began to cry, but this time I let my emotions run free. I asked a co worker to cover my counter for me and I took a walk.
I could not understand how a small child no older then my first son could be taken from the earth and couldn't imagine what the family was going through.
So on this day, the 20th of May, we blow bubbles to remember the life of Justice and the smiles that he shared with those who knew him and those who didn't.

Ashley 5-14-2011

Met this beautiful lady by chance when I was looking for models on my Face Book page a while back. She came to the shoot ready to rock and we ended up with some amazingly wonderful shots.

Thanks Ashley for spending an afternoon with me.

Siblings of mine... I think. 3-5-2011

My younger brother had the idea to take photos that look like awkward 80's graduation pictures and then my youngest brother showed up and all hell broke loose.... or was it more awkwardness? either way, things got pretty uncomfortable.... or should I say... oh never mind.

Ronan 4-18-2011

I know I take a lot of pictures of my kids, but I couldn't help but post this one. It came right before he peed on the floor. Could have been worse. Enjoy!

Gwen and Evan 3-26-2011

I don't believe an accident of birth makes people sisters or brothers.  It makes them siblings, gives them mutuality of parentage.  Sisterhood and brotherhood is a condition people have to work at.  ~Maya Angelou

I have kept a close eye on these two since the day they were born. I've watched them grow and watched them over come great obstacles in the short time they have graced this earth. But even through the hard times, and this being the first time they have met me, they come to a perfect stranger with smiles and hugs.

They are precious children Amanda, keep them close to your heart.

Kelly 4-9-2011

Spent the afternoon exploring Eagle Fern Park with some new friends. The park had special meaning to Kelly and her family and I was lucky enough to share it with them.

Congratulations to her son on graduating high school. There is a whole world of opportunity out there for you if you you only open your eyes to look.
